CEO and Founder

Kate Spurway

Registered Nurse (EMBA, APNA, MACN)

Kate is the founder and director of NurseWatch, Australia’s premier nursing and home care provider.

Having had an extensive career spanning four decades in both hands-on-nursing, compliance and healthcare management, palliative care consultancy and aged care management, five years ago she turned her focus to building and managing her unique visionary primary care service – NurseWatch.

After losing her own mother suddenly, with her only sibling working overseas, she was adamant her grieving father receive the best support while she could continue to work. Kate wanted a quality service that would both relieve the logistical and emotional stress on her and her family while at the same time would ensure that her father would remain healthy and well in the comfort of his own home.  In 2017 NurseWatch was created to meet these needs.

Kate has always been determined to reimagine ageing. The creation of NurseWatch is a result of the culmination of her passion for keeping older persons in the home and the desire to improve and maintain their health, independence and enjoyment of life.
